My Bio
54 year-old man, struggling with health problems that shut down my career as a politician and community activist. It opened, however, a new form of expression, one that never struck me as something I was capable of doing. I still lack confidence but, with the help of many of you, it's growing. I'm learning more, asking questions. I'm wonderfully married for 34 years and have two adult children, one of whom is an artist-oil on wood: abstract and human form; charcoal on paper-mostly human form. Some photography but not a real interest. She's brilliant. I love nature, sunsets, sunrises and moonrises; birds, particularly those found in northern WI; cats, dogs as domestic animals. I really get in abstract art, mostly photography and oils. I'm a person who wants criticism so I may grow and learn more.

Thank you for welcoming me into this community. It has strengthened my resolve.

I will not be active for a little bit as we are moving to a new home here in Madison, WI. So, all of my energy is going there as well as additional health issues. And thanks so much for the Under40 pics. I'm not sure if this means I'm under 40 but, hey, if you think so, I'll take it. LOL to all of you who have given me great support and expressed your enjoyment of my art work. Steve

It lifts my heart when someone picks up one of my photos and makes very kind remarks. But I would love to do photos that draw one's eyes as quick as a mosquito near water and with as many making lots of noise. I've seen some fantastic work. I'm in awe of it but I'm not learning how to get there. With that said, I would really appreciate more critical remarks, thoughts on how you did what you did to get what you did to make it indescribable. I can look but I'm a learner and want to learn. I'm ho

I'm experimenting with my thoughts and abilities. With your encouragement I've decided to try some new things. Stretching oneself allows the box to lock behind you instead of you in it. Fluid space is what we exist in. One second happens, then it's history flowing into the next second which then becomes history when the next second arrives. Go with the flow, baby!
